From the Runway: Delpozo Spring 2014

For Delpozo's second New York debut, Josep Font presented the Madrid-based collection with a strong femininity with true glamour that is sometimes lost in this modern world. Delpozo's second season revival of the historical Spanish brand was inspired from its home and inspired by a portrait of a Gypsy by Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot. The colors were beautiful pastels to a creamy orange and popping pink, to even a little black. Florals were paired perfectly with gingham or embellished blouses. Voluminous skirts, floral dresses, and intricate embellishments on silk blouses or knits are perfect for those special events. But Font didn't neglect the thought of dinner pants with romantic blouses, or a little daytime dress-up with a short floral skirt, paired with a gingham top, or maxi dresses. Delpozo has proven to be wearable couture.
