Cropped cowlneck sweater

I love this sweater...it's so nice to wear any day and it can go over a dress or tshirt really well.  I love this kind of neck on sweaters for a nice style. I am also wearing the new Clare Vivier clutch from the previous post.

Shopping + Lunch

Yesterday, I was home and spent time with my sister, shopping and getting lunch. Its been a warmer winter so I dont need to wear big coats and can opt for the blazers and jackets. I like the leopard scarf with this, and I wore my sunglasses by Celine I got at a discount store. They have a nice ombre effect.

Jane Birkin in La Piscine

Jane Birkin, one of the most famous style icons ever (hello-the Birkin bag!), has a lovely preppy style in the French film, La Piscine, from 1969. I just recently watched this movie for the first time, and I recommend it! Her sunglasses and gingham prints are so chic! It's not exactly summer, but with this warm weather never allowing it to be winter in Charleston, I was inspired.

Clare Vivier clutches

My new handbag love is the Clare Vivier foldover clutch. The black one has been shown in previous posts, but I just bought the pale pink one recently. These are great clutches for the evening and can work well in the day as well. They are made with recycled leather and come in many different colors. You can find them here!

Black, grey, & stripes

Here's a just a normal day outfit. Of course, I am wearing lots of black. The sweater is from Ann Taylor Loft; I like the small sequins sown in to bring the color out more. I'm also wearing a silver charm bracelet with a heart locket with my first initial engraved.

Red Satin slippers

A black blazer and jeans is such a simple way to look chic. I wear this kind of outfit many times for class. But I love adding nice flats. I love these red satin ones, they are like my red ruby slippers! I am also wearing a brown rabbit fur scarf.

Louis Vuitton Cruise Lookbook

I am not a huge fan of Louis Vuitton, but Marc Jacobs does know how to make great clothing. The cruise 2012 lookbook is amazing; I feel like I am back in the 1960's (again). As stated numerous times already, I LOVE THE 60'S!!! The sunglasses are so cool, and I need the denim shift dress. I am so excited for a great 60's comeback!

Beige and white trimed cardigan

Here's a very classical outfit. The beige cardigan with the white trim is so classic and is great for many occasions. The gold buttons add a nice touch. I wore my classic Chanel flap bag for a nice pairing.

The Shops at Target

Target is already the best superstore, now they are really differentiating themselves with new concept stores "The Shops at Target." Target is discontinuing their GO International collaborations and replacing it with cool, unique stores from around the country and actually making a mini-store for them in each Target! The Shops at Target will include The Candy Store, Polka Dog Bakery, Privet House, Cos Bar, and the Webster (a Miami boutique carrying designer clothing). This is very exciting news!! When I am at school, I buy a lot of my beauty products at Cos Bar so I am very eager to see what they bring to Target! But moreover, the Webster boutique is bringing the wardrobe. I can't wait to see these "mini-stores," which come to local Targets May 6!

Open wool trench

Here's just a casual outfit worn with my wool and cashmere trench coat. The day wasn't too cold so I left the coat open to show my classic striped tee.

Carven Pre-Fall 2012

The up and coming label Carven is a lovely Parisian label with simple, modern silhouettes. The designer, Guillaume Henry brought back the 1960's for his pre-fall 2012 looks. The accessories, like the circle shoulder bags and different colored & textured pumps, are cool touches to the ensembles. The 1960's, with the mod style, is my favorite fashion era.

Herringbone Jacket on the lake

Here's a preppy, equestrian outfit I wore while home for the holidays. I love this place by the lake; its so beautiful and peaceful. When fall and winter come around I love dressing in these Ralph Lauren type of looks with a herringbone blazer and equestrian boots. The blazer is from Rugby Ralph Lauren and it has brown velvet trim on the sleeves and the collar.

Flashback: Balenciaga Fall 2006

Balenciaga's Fall 2006 collection is amazing. Even six years later, some of my outfits are still inspired by this genius collection. Nicolas Ghesquière took an old style and made it modern. The checked tweed jacket and skirt sets and rounded coats are brilliant; they have a lovely 1960's feel. I also love the added tall hats and platform boots. It reminds me of London in the 1960's, with the mod fashion, but with its own modern style. What I would do to get my hands on those checked suits...

Crepe and wool sleeved dress

For dinner last night, I wore this black crepe dress with wool sleeves. I really like that the sleeves have a different material. I added red accents with the shoes and necklace. The restaurant is at the W Hotel Atlanta Midtown. I love these hotels; they have very modern and cool interiors. I really like the chandelier in their lobby.

Equestrian Pants

I am very inspired by the equestrian style and love to wear it in the fall and winter. A cold front came in today, so it was very cold. I wore a thick wool cable knit sweater to keep me warm with my olive equestrian pants. I also added a necklace for a nice contrast. The boots are my newest pair. They have a nice two-sided look.

First Outfit of 2012

Happy New Year! 2012! This is my first outfit of the new year. Color-block sweater and jeans. Easy and casual. Black, white, and denim. I wore denim flats with the Chanel flower on them, instead of my usual black ballerinas.
