Around Santa Monica- LA

Santa Monica is beautiful! The beach and the area is so pretty and wonderful to live. I would come to the beaches every year when I was younger, but now not as much sadly. I was a bit chilly so I wore a sweater underneath my leather jacket. I like the color combination. Neutrals with a nice light blue. Light colored scarves are so nice for spring when its a little chilly but you dont want to go back to winter.

Rainy Day in LA

I was in Los Angeles this past weekend for the LA Women's International Film Festival for my friend's short film "Ultimo Beso en Roma." She is so talented. On this day, it was raining all day (except at the lucky moment we got the photos!) which is very strange for LA. I wore this white blazer I bought at Zara a couple of years ago, with a nice navy trim. I like lots of white so I wore a white silky blouse underneath. This look is great for spring and once it gets warmer I can wear it with shorts.

Charleston Fashion Week

Last night I went to Charleston Fashion Week. It's no Milan or Paris, but it was fun and there were some nice emerging designers displaying their pieces and even children's fashions! Charleston Fashion Week is more for the customer instead of the buyers and editors- what to wear now. I wore this yellow mod inspired jacket over a white layered blouse.  I am so inspired by the 60's fashion. The mustard color of the jacket on a simple structure. The blouse is nice with the layers and the black bow that falls down the middle. Also, I recently cut my hair! I leave for LA tonight so I am unable to attend the rest of the nights. But it was nice to at least attend one.

Spring has sprung!

Here are some photos around Charleston's battery and some historic houses. It is so pretty around there. I wore just a simple black outfit with a salmon colored tshirt. I love pink anyway, but especially how it used this spring. Charleston's Fashion Week is this week and unfortunately I will only be able to attend one or two days, but I will post some photos of what I do attend!

School Girl Chic

Here is an outfit worn to class in a school girl style. The striped sweater dress is perfect for any school day; just add a pair of flats and a blazer for a complete look. I like the black paired with the navy and grey stripes for a nice contrast. Then I added a patent leather bag and metallic flats for some standout accessories. A great classic outfit for fall or spring. 

Sightseeing in Santiago

Santiago was so nice! It's a very green city! The views were amazing from where I am. You can see the entire city, which is huge! Right below the hill I am on here, there is a nice colorful artsy area where we walked around for a while. For touring the city, I wore this old peter pan collar girly blouse with black cotton shorts. My big round sunglasses helped me to shield my eyes from the intense sun down there. 

Evening in Santiago

I haven't made a post in a while! I was in Santiago last week! It was my first time to South America and to the southern hemisphere! Very nice and green city! Though it was boiling hot and dry as it is summer for them now. But in the evening, it gets a little chilly so I can wear a light jacket like I am here. I wore this for dinner and a night out. We went to the rooftop of the W for drinks, which had a wonderful view of the city! At the W, I tried Chile's native liquor called Pisco in a Pisco Sour. It was delicious, I had to buy a bottle of it to bring home! This new pink tweed jacket I love, worn over a black romper. Check out the picture of my friends amazing wedges she had custom made as well! 

Ruffled Leather Jacket

I love this cream colored leather jacket; it's so nice with the ruffles down the middle and around the collar. Its also a nice neutral color to go with many outfits. My bag is also a great color for the spring with all the pastels. I love this style with skinnny jeans, low booties and a leather jacket. Its a good outfit to wear for the day, whether school or the weekend. I also made a new bracelet by wrapping an Hermes ribbon for something different, since I don't like to wear many friendship bracelets around my wrist. Also, Happy March! In a few days I will be going to Santiago! So stay tuned!
