See by Chloé First Ever Show!!

I was so excited to hear See by Chloé was going to have its first fashion show and see what will be sent down the runway. The collection was beautiful. Very feminine and sophisticated. Before the runway, they were a bit more fun, and now they have made a transition into more sophistication. The draped clothing and neutrals was so beautiful. It ended with a lovely poppy red dress and a teal green top with black pants in the same draping style. J'adore!!!

Best of Fall 2012 Ready-to-Wear (Milan)

Roberto Cavalli
Cavalli's Fall collection was beautifully feminine and fun. His clothes are always so luxurious in every way and somewhat over-the-top at times, but this collection had just enough. All the many different prints, fabrics and colors were combined wonderfully.

Emporio Armani
I always love the Emporio Armani collections. Everything is so elegant and chic, but they add nice girly or edgy details. The clothes are always perfect for nice modern evening wear. In this collection, there was definitely inspiration from the 1920's flappers (adore!) with the headpieces and low-slung dresses. The long evening shorts looked nice with the frilly blouses. All the girly details to this collection were just right with the dark colors.

Iceberg
Iceberg is always very sleek and modern. The sweaters were so cozy and wearable yet chic for the high-fashion goers. The bright colors added with the jackets was nice, instead of a black jacket over colors. Lots of black pants and great tops. I would take an outfit to wear right off the runway.

Versace
Donatella had a gothic theme to her usual dominatrix like style this Fall season. I thought it was one of her best collections yet. She is so good at using color, but all the black in a darker look was a different take. I liked it. The body-conscious silhouettes on a dark canvas was a nice combination.

 Dsquared²
If anyone can make something look "cool," it's Dsquared². The pairing of pencil skirts with sleek jackets was perfect. It was a little good girl gone bad, yet keeping its sweetness. The style was a little early 1960's, as well. I am really loving these pencil skirt looks for the fall (but maybe I will test it out it early in the spring)!

Just Cavalli
Roberto Cavalli's contemporary line had some great fresh fall looks. The first couple of looks had a really nice black and white striped chiffon material. Later, the darker fall colors were so fresh the way they were paired with leggings and fur over tweed jackets or played-up denim then on to golds and silvers. Very youthful!

Prada
Miuccia's Fall collection was very bold and a definite fashion statement. It was interesting she chose some styles that aren't flattering, like menswear, pajamas, pillowed toed pumps and weirdly shaped long dresses. However, that is what makes Prada so unique; Miuccia always brings out something different. The jacket and pant looks were very nice with a wide belt in a structured silhouette. New trends are soon to come!

Versus
Versace's contemporary line always brings a young edge. I love how Donatella makes tough and edgy look so sophisticated. The colors gave a nice fresh feel to a dark style. The leather sleeved red jacket in the first look was my favorite.

Evergreen and tweed jacket

I am wearing the white tweed jacket from Zara again. I love this jacket because its slightly edgy and goes with so many different things. This is a good basic outfit for school or just a leisurely day. The necklace was a gift and its a big silver heart. It's nice to wear with basic outfits. I also bought a new pair of black flats that are thicker leather and better to wear all the time than my Repettos, which I also don't want to ruin.

Tweed skirt + pink cardigan

Here's an outfit I can wear to school and work. I love tweed, even though this is just black and white. So, I added a bright pink cardigan underneath the blazer. This is one of my favorite tops, it's so soft and it has puffed shoulders (that isn't shown here but I will show it later!). This spring is all about color, so as it gets warmer and more into spring I will wear more color. Pink is one of the biggest colors of the spring, which I am so happy about and will be wearing often!

Moschino Fall 2012

Rosella Jardini's fall collection was so chic! She combined 1960's styles (which I love!), military styles, some ski looks, and even what seemed like a little Spanish bullfighter look (including capes and ruffles)! The color combinations were very popping and bright, with black, red, yellow, blue, and white. The skirt lengths were short with high booties. Moschino always has that fun element on very chic and wearable clothes.

Cream embroidered dress

This dress is such a beautiful color and with nice embroidery. It's definitely romantic. The blazer and belt add a more sophisticated quality I think. I love this dress because you can wear it during the day or pair it with heels and its nice for dinner. The belt is black and blue snakeskin embossed leather, which is a nice extra to the outfit.

Best of Fall 2012 Ready-to-Wear (London)

Burberry Prorsum
Christopher Bailey always creates the best and wearable coats that are so fashion forward. This season, it seems his inspiration came a little from the 1940's and even a little from the 1800's menswear in England, with a town and country combination. Details, like bellowed pockets, bows, and owls on the t-shirts, added a playful touch on somewhat serious silhouettes. The colors are what I think I love the most. Darker colors for fall and winter are so sophisticated, then you can add a little color here and there. Bailey chose very beautiful greys and browns with light pinks, mustard yellow, and other nice colors.

The first thing I noticed about Temperley's collection was the rich beautiful fabrics. She used nice metallics and of course silks for evening gowns. The colors were also very rich- golds, maroon, blues, and other lovely ones. I love the Russian influence, also, with the fur hats and folklike florals.

Moschino Cheap and Chic
Even though I do not particularly like lots of bright colors and pastels for fall, I do love Moschino's whistfully playful use of color and prints always used in the Cheap and Chic line. It reminds me of when childhood with dolls.

A.L.C.
ALC is so nicely wearable. Collections always are able to take vintage looks (especially from the 1960's and 70's) and make them modern. Some silhouettes are boyish, but paired with skinny trousers and pointed pumps it is so chic!

Issa
Made famous by Kate Middleton, Queen of Wales, Issa surely incorporates the royal rich colors into a very beautiful collection. Russian influences were used, yet again, with fur trimmed sleeves. As well as some Siberian influences with paisley printed dresses and velvet leggings under beautiful cinched-waist dresses.

Matthew Williamson Fall 2012

London Fashion Week is halfway through, and there has been a very wide array of color and prints going down the runways. I was actually surprised to see so much for fall. Of all that I have seen thus far, I prefer Matthew Williamson. He has always been a genius with the use of color and prints, and he continues his brilliance in this collection. The cocktail dresses with a structured and ladylike silhouettes were beautiful with cutouts at the sides on a metallic fabric. The combinations of colors on the tops and pants outfits work so well together, whether prints or solid colors. I also love the booties in many different colors, especially the grey.

Evening dinner outfit

For dinner, I like to wear pants and a blazer with a nice top. Then you can add a nice pair of shoes and clutch. The shirt is just a soft cream colored tshirt with a gold shimmery trim. It wasn't too cold so I was able to wear sandles.

Black and Navy

I love black and navy together. Here I am wearing a navy blouse with a black collar with a black blazer. I like the light jeans with this so it isn't too dark. Read more for more photos!

Best of Fall 2012 Ready-to-Wear (New York)- Part I

Jenni Kayne
Jenni Kayne's Fall 2012 collection had a nice proper English menswear feel. It featured tweeds and herringbones, perfect for fall and winter. The leather top is also a cool addition to a tweed coat and pants.

3.1 Phillip Lim
Phillip Lim's collection was very sleek and modern featuring dark vs. light. The knitted black and white dress puts a whole new edge on ski-chic.

J.Mendel
J. Mendel always has one of the top 3 collections of New York fashion week, in my opinion. The way he uses fur and makes gowns is amazing. He uses always the most beautiful fabrics with the most intricate details. This collection had nice soft colors and feminine shapes. Gowns were plentiful with beading and charmeuse. I love it.
Proenza Schouler
Lazaro and Jack always use a plentiful amount of color with interesting silhouettes. Their fall collection is no exception. They were very creative, using boxy white shapes at first then quickly transformed into bold blues and reds with new formed jackets and quilted skirts, and then later had some multicolored kimono-inspired prints.

Rachel Zoe
The stylist has really made a name for herself as a designer quickly! Her fall collection was so wonderfully chic! The separates and button down dresses reminds me of Melanie Griffith in Working Girl. Her evening wear was just as genius, featuring sequined dresses for a night out dancing or a white wrapped gown for more formal event. These pieces will have to be added to my closet.
